Light electric vehicles

Together with its partners, companies and research organisations, the cluster aims to make a contribution to developing the market for these vehicles, certain components and the requisite charging infrastructure. The objective of the cluster is to promote the introduction of electric mobility with LEVs (light electric vehicles) for day-to-day private transport in order to reduce the costs of mobility for the private domain, sharing and fleet operators, and to minimise the use of resources and CO2 emissions. A key technology for a sustainable transport system, electric mobility has a critical role to play, especially for private transport, as an alternative form of mobility. The establishment of alternative consumer attitudes, the development of new social structures on the one hand and the increasing costs of raw materials, increasing urbanisation and growing environmental awareness on the part of consumers on the other, mean that mobility solutions are needed which meet the corresponding efficiency and sustainability requirements. LEVs can be used in both the commercial and private domain.
